Bringing back 80's classics for a modern makeover rarely ends well, but Beverly Hills Cop 4 might just be an exception. Was it was worth waiting 30 years for a sequel? Let's find out.

Gotta love Axel's idea of getting police backup by destroying properties and having the police chase you all the way to the real bad guys. That's so Axel. 🤣

The Airwolf theme being covertly inserted during the helicopter chase scene was.. *chef's kiss*

The best compliment I can give this movie is that if it had been in theaters I would have been happy spending my money to see it. And in today's world that is saying a lot.

Axel talking his way into the gun club will always be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen

I enjoyed the fact Foley was still driving that old Nova in the beginning.

He's 63 and looks mid 40s. Astonishing

I cannot believe Taggart is still around. I remember watching part 1 as a kid and thinking he was like 50. 😂😂 Either way, I'll definitely see it. We could all use some classic Eddie Murphy in the modern world.

It's difficult to believe that it's been 40 years since I was 15 and standing at a bus stop humming 'The Heat Is On'. Yeah, the characters are older and not quite the way my brain remembers them, but with all of the recent losses of my childhood, I'm glad I could lose myself in nostalgia, smile, and be fifteen again . . . if it's only for two hours.

Soundtrack 10 out of 10.
Nostalgia 10 out of 10.

This movie was a pure nostalgia trip. It's not a great movie, it's not a breakthrough movie, it's just what it fu**ing needs to be. I enjoyed seeing the old gang together.

Something that stood out to me was the stunt work too...the car chases for the most part weren't CGI, it was a breath of fresh air!

Foley, Rosewood, and Taggart back together on the 40th anniversary of the movie, we the fans needed this.

Better than most over the past few years.

The visits to strip clubs absolutely served a purpose in the story for the characters, revealing more of Axel's street smart police skills, and bonding the three cops from different backgrounds.

If only more films could be like this, no message and just for fun, and fun it was, I smiled the whole way through.

The Real MVP of Beverly Hills Cop 4 was and still is: Jerry Bruckheimer!
The fact that this movie worked AT ALL is the Hail Mary🏈 of all sequels.
This sequel shouldn't have worked for coming up short but effectively made the story coherent and well controlled.
I understand this was one of Jerry's first major blockbuster so he knew he had to personally be involved in order for this film to work. What's so touching before the start of the film: he still credits his closest friend Don Simpson as co-producer even after his passing 30 years later.
God Bless You Jerry...and Eddie Murphy, too! 😎😁

It's a miracle this didn't get subverted for modern times. If only Hollywood would show such respect for all of our childhood franchises.

When bronson pinchot showed up, I’m not gonna lie. I was already laughing before he said a word.

Nostalgic is definitely the word for this movie. Unlike most sequels that throw in sprinkles of nostalgia, Axel F just made the entire move nostalgic.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well Netflix did with Beverly Hills Cop. I really enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I was going to.

It’s nice knowing that Beverly Hills cop can be called a great movie Saga with no real terrible movies. It and Lethal Weapon truly are one of the few actually solid Tetralogy’s.
