My theory is that Hunter got his scars from Belos, not his missions/fights and stuff. Also, I think Belos was a decent parental figure when Hunter was really really young, but the older Hunter grew, the worse Belos became. That’s why I showed them laughing in the beginning while I drew Hunter to look really young, but then the older Hunter got the less happy he became due to the horrible treatment from Belos. Hunter learned quickly that if he wasn’t useful to Belos, that Belos would hurt him and/or abandon him.

Idk, that’s just what I think :D
