Relating the child abuse really hurts but I’m glad it gets more attention that not every parent or relative deserves to be a guardian. They were supposed to protect you but instead they silence you for nothing you’ve been abused by, all we just wanted is for someone to protect us

Ok so, I looked up the meaning of the ribbons at the beginning:

Teal - S/A

Red - hiv awareness/drug awareness

Pink - couldn’t find anything besides breast cancer

Green - mental health

Maybe the red and pink were just for transitions for teal and green but there’s that if you wanted to know why there were ribbons at the beginning

Also with the beginning, im theorizing that the grandma didnt believe that the child was being s/ad, or was putting the child at fault for the s/a. Maybe the perpetrator was also family member that the grandma didnt believe would do such a thing?

i wish i didnt have to say this, but ive had these exact thoughts myself with my brother. it hurts to know so many people not only fall victim to malicious family members, but also potentially end up in abusive relationships with others later in their lives
let it be known you are HEARD and you are CARED FOR by someone special in you life, as well as those in your audience who wish the best for you as a creator they want to have a happy life

can i say though, i adore the detail of the flower petals at the end, with both partners taking each others petals with a gentle touch and consent, showing they trust each other and have a healthy relationship
we all deserve someone who will ask before plucking one another petals, no matter what else has happened in life, and im happy to see youve found someone that will do that for you
im lucky to have someone who will do that now, too

i’m glad subject like this gets more attention. i struggled with abuse for a while, until i met this guy i found comfort in him. however he broke up with me recently as he lost feelings. life hasn’t been the same since.

I can, in a way relate to this. My step mother abused and discriminated JUST because I had Autism and Tourette's, and she was greedy for money since we used to have tenants in where I live. All these events happened after my biological mother died of cancer in 2018. My biological mother was the most caring mother and knew how to treat me right. Ever since her passing nightmares of it and step mom's vile acts plagued my mind.
