There are two simple things you can do to end spam calls and emails on your iPhone. Plus add yourself to the national "Do Not Call" registry.

For email, disable automatically display images. The spammers host their images, when you just open the email they are tracking it, and it tells them you're looking at the email.

Yeah this doesn’t work anymore. I blocked these contacts all the time, but their emails still come through. They come in with a red flag but nonethelsss, they are still coming in

I looked if there was other ways to stop this. I've been doing everything that you posted! Im 31 and have been helping my mom with my dad who has been diagnosed with Alzheimers (I was an "oops" baby when they thought they were done lol). It is INSANE how many spam emails he gets saying he won something. I didn't know how persistent scammers are, and how they vigorously target the elderly. Thank you for taking the time to show how to battle this issue. One thing I've noticed on some emails I've monitored is apple will have a note at the top of some emails that will let you unsubscribe from a list. When I see an email doesn't give that option, I just go straight to blocking them.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m just wondering how to block a persons name. What is happening is they have taken a name off my friends list and then keep changing the email address so it comes up as her name but with a different email address each time. I just wanted to block her name and then change her actual name on my contact list so I would continue to get emails from her under a new name I’ve created. Then I will have her old name blocked with all the different emails they are using for her name.

Sorry I'm completely blind and I have an entire full junk folder of nothing but spam emails and I was trying to figure out how to block them so I don't keep getting them because it's all crap ton of repeats. But I'm so confused because I thought you said that we shouldn't open the email but the way you're talking it sounds like you have to open the email in order to get to their name in order to Block them 4:20

Some info for people out there, some of these spam email companies will have multiple emails that they’ll spam you with. Meaning that if you block one they already have about a dozen more ready to go. iCloud offers a feature at the top above the sender information that when clicked will send an email telling them to unsubscribe you. This feature doesn’t work with spam companies since they really couldn’t care less.
Best solution? Be absolutely sure not to open the email, make sure it stays unread when you delete it. When deleting a lot of them just press edit and select all the ones you need to delete.

Blocking spam callers won’t work because they spoof a different number every time they call.

My iPhone 8 does not have a "Block this Contact" selection. I can move the spam emails to the "Junk" Folder, but I don't know if that "Blocks" the message or not. Can you help me with that? Thanks.

I’m getting about 20 emails a day from different addresses so doesn’t help to block them because they’ll just use a new one.

I have been doing all of these suggestions for months, but still getting multiple daily solicitations from one-time-use email addresses. Any spam filters for crazy addresses that contain special characters, etc.? Thanks
