Wow. Only a handful of these comments are RIP for the fallen officer. 80% are about who paying for this. Or he knew it was a dangerous job. Its ok what happened to him. Seriously what's wrong with people today. Where is the empathy? Compassion? Simple decency? Good grief. Horrified.

What a waste of tax payer money. I highly doubt they're doing this on their own time with no pay. What's worse is paying for overtime.

taxpayers better not be paying for this nonsense.

I'm not a fan of any extra taxpayer money that was spent on this if it was. Officers aren't special. We already pay them, and our communities need finances for lots of other reasons. Including solving cold cases of civilian murders.

I hope taxpayers didn't fund any of this. RIP to him.

"Hi, I'm Mark Brown." Give me a fking break. 58 secs for the dead cop and then here comes smiling Jack. How about the REST Of the procession and NO Mark Brown!?

Too bad the POS who killed him probably won’t face justice, sad, sad, condolences to his family.

This is one of the most senseless tragedies, with absolutely no reason whatsoever to have happened, but for a negligent group of illegals who were well aware of the mental instability of a family member, yet took no steps to get him back to Mexico and into a Mexican mental asylum, which would have been far less costly than a U.S. mental hospital.

He will not receive the death penalty as his "mental defect" and "diminished capacity" will prevent execution. I am not a proponent of capital punishment in general, because only God gives life and only God can take it away. However, when I hear about senseless tragedies like this, I understand why so many people do advocate for capital punishment.

👏🏽. Not one tear. Why are they draping these local monster cops coffins with the flag. They served a county/city. Drape it with the dumb blue flag. Disgracing the flag.
