They are trying to improve the combat effectiveness of their forces, and will re-prioritize the current defense program to increase weapon stockpiles. The British may have a smaller military nowerdays, but what they have man for man is some of the best trained soldiers in the world, I always see many American marines and soldiers praising how good and effective the British are. And they have some of the best weapons in the world I think they are ranked 7th in the world which is amazing considering how small the numbers are but as for lasers, submarines and many other things they are in line with the Americans. And are great allies they train together go to battle together and help each other out. That's what it's all about, The British SAS and SBS are the pioneers of elite and secretive special forces along with the SEALS and DELTA force. And there intelligence the MI5 and MI6 and probably have a more secret MI7, is on par with the NSA, CIA and DOD of the Americans. Brothers in arms :)

Look at the inventions that came from this small island Now imagine if they had land and money like America how powerful they would be! Crazy to think they run 2/3 of the world for 500 years! Never underestimate the British they are some of best fighters in the world they showed the germans in ww2 they may have a small military but they can pack a mighty punch to any fool who tries missing with them

UK military is small but is infact the only military to win a war on there own in last 50 years when they fought against Argentina a much bigger rival

The British are more powerful than what they are If u recently look at the Russian and Ukrainian war, Russia was highly rated but are taking a beating from a smaller military nation like Ukraine, British are highly trained soldiers, technology super advanced weapons, but never boast like other nations do, and also the UK are also nuclear armed missiles what people automatically forget, every one thinks it's only USA Russia China with these weapons

What the UK needs is a government what properly supports the troops. Our troop numbers are seriously low and the likes of Russia are fully aware of that as we enter a 2nd Cold War.

The 50 KW Dragon Fire Laser is being upgraded to a 150KW production model .. thats why the New Type 26 frigate Type 45 Destroyer and future type 83 Destroyer is being fitted with extra Generators to produce the power needed... Each Laser shot on incoming drones missiles and Aircraft costs roughly £10 instead of Hundreds of thousands of pounds for missiles to hit those targets ..the other benefit is no extra missiles will need to be carried on deployment othet than the standard amount and 3rd there is no extra risk in having extra stored missiles onboard....

I just hope our government continues to invest while they can, it costs less to maintain and operate the equipment after it’s been bought, and is better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.

my personal hope is that the raf does expand to having up to 120 of those tempest fighters, with potentially another aircraft supplementing them on a 1:1 basis.

For the navy I hope they continue to build more ships, costly sure, but considering how long it takes to build and how effective they are when actually around, it’d be better to just invest. Build 8 initial type 26 w potential for another batch of maybe 2-4 alongside the really cheap but seemingly promising type 31’s.

This is true. Delta Force was modeled after the British SAS. England or Great Britain definantly punches above its weight.

They forgot the new military uniform that will go with the new energy weapons, the Imperial storm trooper armor of course... will go fantastically with the stealth imperial spy ship that looks like its straight out of SWTOR.
