Yeah man, having to turn it the whole way would be so annoying I'd never use it. It's the same on abrasive saws, the guard clamp always quick releases.

Doesn't look to me that Kobalt Miter Saws have this kind of clamp anymore. They look like the DeWalt one.

My Kolbolt 7 1/4 miter saw doesn't have the quick release clamp like yours does. I have always liked the Kolbalt line shame to see it is becoming the red head step child at Lowes. Thanks for the video.

Nice job Rob. I just bought a Kobalt tile saw and was very impressed how it operated. I'm not a big believer in Kobalt but some things I have found are pretty doggone good

Good vid there Wealro. I have a 8 year old Makita 12" dual bevel slider but not sure off hand what style clamp it uses. I do like that Kobalt clamp especially with the wider style threads. Cheers!

This new cordless, 7 1/4, double bevel, compound sliding miter saw Beats the dewalt offerings all day long. I love it. But when it comes to big saws, I just don't think anything touches the dewalt. Except the Bosch glider. Thanks for the video broseph!

Kobalt first came out weather 10 inch compound miter saw I bought one cuz it was cheaper to buy then rent one to do my laminate floors and I've been using it ever since are you guys take care and we'll catch you later on

aside from clamp Kobalt is garbage compared to DeWalt

If dewalt (or any tool manufacturer for that matter) would use a higher thread pitch on those stems, it would make a HUGE difference. You would only need to turn the knob a few times instead of hundreds to have it move an inch. Drives me crazy too to the point I just bought a TR8x8 lead screw on amazon and a nut with the same pitch and stick a knob on it. Works way better.

The Kobalt seems to use a purpose made bolt with larger threads, while the Dewalt seems to use a piece of all thread. I would love a toggle dog on the Kobalt.
