Inverse Problems 12: Newton-Krylov Methods (Optimization 6)

Показать описание
We cover Newton-CG as an example of a Newton-Krylov method and how a general Krylov method is a slight modification of what is presented here.
I also mention a few other optimization techniques and suggest the book Numerical Optimization by Nocedal and Wright for further details on optimization techniques.
For now, my plan is to return to inverse theory itself, keeping in mind that the solutions to inverse problems ultimately boil down to solving a minimization problem, so the role of large-scale optimization algorithms as a subtopic of inverse problems can hardly be overstated.
