Not only did he say “I knew it” in endgame but there is also the fact which is you’re either worthy or not there is no in between

He literally said “I knew it” when it budged, it meant that Cap was actually able to lift it, but knew it wasn’t meant for him. He was always worthy

He definitely could hold it easily. You can see it in his expression afterwards. Like “I’m gonna pretend that I didn’t just wiggle it because I’m too nice” also a little wiggle wouldn’t make thors expression drop like that unless he should t be able to make it wiggle.
