Shocking Difference: $100 Room in Philippines vs USA

In this video I compare $100 rooms in the America with the Philippines. The options in this downtown area in the U.S. were limited, so I booked a room, which had very bad reviews. For $100 in Siargao, Philippines there were great options. This video shows you how much further your money goes in the Philippines vs the USA.

Love that the only thing that's stalking you is that feline friend in the Philippines. Definitely a win for 🇵🇭

Dude, I have stayed in places like that in the USA!!! I prefer to stay anywhere in the Philippines and I feel safer, even the low budget places in the Phils are safer than here. You looked terrified in Birmingham!

I have been watching you're videos in the Philippines Jonathan, it made me miss more my country. We're now in the US with my daughter and my husband. I work here as a nurse. I had so much realization but I'm grateful that I get to see another part of the world. It made us realize that our country has a very rich culture and that happiness you could share with everyone around. It cannot be replace ld with any material thing. now looking forward to save up and maybe do passive income there and go home soon for good.

That red car makes any price too expansive.
On the other hand, that warm welcoming receptionist's smile has no price.

100$ Hotel in US Lonely, no chatting, no neighbor, scary, unsafe in many things
100$ hotel in the Philippines, NOTHING but a BEAUTIFUL Smile of a young Lady + a very simple ambiance 😊😊😊

What a stark contrast. That downtown neighborhood in AL is sketch AF! Glad you made the decision to get out of there. Gonna check out that Siargao resort online, looks so relaxing.

I live in Albertville Alabama. No way would I consider Birmingham! Hate to say it, but go back to the Philippines! If I could, I would. But I'd miss Lake Guntersville.

The comparison demonstrate there is no comparison. One looks like the remnants of a hostile, old and dying world and the other is alive with nature where the people are in relationship to it. The energies that dictate the physical world reveal a stark difference of two civilizations. The richness of living in the Philippines naturally defines what it is to be rich.

The lamp on top of the microwave oven on top of the fridge is the most optimum space-saving scheme I have ever seen!

I stayed in a resort with a private beach in Cebu and it was $85 per night. It was a spacious 1 bedroom, not a cabana though. My airbnb host said he would allow me to stay there for $1000 per month.
The host told me about the restaurants at the resort. He said "they were kind of pricey". I had steak tenderloin medallions and potatoes and salad and drink and tax/tip for $27. 😄

The best way of avoiding road noise, make sure the neighbour has a rooster 😂 I'm just thankful you didn't try and compare the room prices in Dublin to the Philippines, Irish prices at the moment are bordering on extortionate

you know it's funny when I told my friends I was moving to the Philippines they all joked I was gonna wake up in a tub missing a kidney, and now I watch this and am thinking Jonathan almost got kidnapped and sold into white slavery back home in the states lmao

For security purposes, You NEVER stay in a room with a door to a connecting room.

The first room was ok for the price, but the area is tabu. Thus, the price is low, and they can not afford to maintain it. The main fault is that the local government administration is irresponsible.
This video is not just interesting. It has a bit of intrigue while being informative. A nice comparison of Philippine country life and Alabama country life might be cool, especially for folks that have preconcieved views of both. Thanks again. You are still very creative.

I live about 40 miles north of Birmingham and commute to Hoover for work. Locally, we don’t go to the city itself. There are some suburbs that are much nicer and safer. I also have a fiancé in Luzon and was there earlier this summer and the comparison is for sure accurate. This is the example I share when folks that don’t know assume the Philippines is a dangerous place. There are dangerous places in every country.
