FILM DESCRIPTION:
Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, is preparing for her daughter's wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie, the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day.

I think Donna Sheridan is someone all young women and girls should look up to as a fictional heroine. She is a strong woman. She leaves home and graduates college and then moves to an island all by herself away from her family and Home country. Then she meets three men who in the end are very nice but, they don’t treat her right and she ends up pregnant and and alone. She is left to raise her daughter and take care of the defunct hotel. She really is a bad A**! I really wish I could be more like Donna. I think it’s great that that she doesn’t let men control her and push her around. She seems to wear her heart on her sleeve yet she is very strong willed. Maybe similar to the steel magnolias? I think in some ways I’m like Donna, I just wish I knew how to not fall in to a pile of mush when I like a guy...

1:52 - 2:15 is in my opinion the greatest song played in a movie my a non singer, the utter emotion, there's a fierrrr, Meryl's face when she says whoa whoa, and when she says here I go again literally is the sounding defenition like she really means here I go again.
