That was very informative, a lot of useful information about different tool types, thank you. Lots of wood turner's think everyone is as experienced as they are. I took note on one of your videos about riding the bevel, that made a massive difference for me. So much easier when you use the tool property.

Make sure you check the shaft size of the sanding pads before ordering the bearings. As I have discovered, not every seller states the shaft size and they are all over the place, from 3mm to 6.5 mm.

This is fantastic Glenn, fantastic.

Sooo much better having something you’ve made yourself.

Really reassuring to have someone like yourself, enabling us all to enjoy turning on a budget.

I for one am going to love this project if fact, I wouldn’t mine every single subscriber & visitor makes one of your bowl sanders.

Thank you Glenn

Thank you for talking about the drive centres from RGD Tools.
I bought one 4 prong drive centre a little while ago it was nearly half the price of the full set from RGD.
Many thanks

Glenn, I watched your video on making the hand sanders. I really enjoyed it very much. What a money saving project. Will you please confirm the magnet and bearing sizes and hole sizes needed. I enjoy your channel? Your videos are very well presented. Thanks. Roger D.

I am just getting into carbide tools, that is how I found your channel. I understand what you were saying about speed, but is there a minimum speed you should stay above for best results with carbide? I should learn to turn faster. I have really enjoyed your 3 tool series. Stop and start the video to catch the action ha ha. Thanks a lot for the information.

Hey Glenn, GREAT video. I made a sander like that about six months ago. I didn't think about using the rare earth magnet I used a drill stop on the top side. Works good just have to use an Allen wrench. The next ones will be with the magnet. I couldn't see spending all the money for a pad on a stick. Also I noticed your carbide cutters appear to be thicker than the Easy wood or Sorby. Are they or does it just look that way? if they are, is there a reason? Thanks for all the good info you provide. I work in a retail store that sells turning tools I pass your video info on to others for them to watch and learn. Thanks keep up the good work.

I've got the bits necessary to start making some hand sanders, but am undecided what diameter to make the handles. Obviously it is not critical, but I like the way that you have yours handily stored. You appear to use similar plastic tube sections to store your chisels. I would like to copy your systems, although for vastly fewer chisels, but wonder what size pipe you have found to be best for each - or both.
