Picking up my first orbital sander today, and thanks to you I feel confident about using it. You packed a lot of really practical info into 12 minutes. Kudos!

"Let the machine do the work" is a pretty solid mantra for me regardless of the tool.

Wish I asked YouTube how to sand before I actually started sanding. Now I understand where I've gone wrong. Thank you

Thank you for making this video for us newbies., i found most videos don't take us (me), who don't know anything, into consideration. I appreciate you!

For long sanding sessions, listening to music/podcasts/audio books really makes the time go by faster.

Great video mate, honestly I appreciate the upload immensely. I like that you explain the reasoning behind each tip, accounting for different situations and not just assuming the viewers' intended works. Top tier presenting skills.

Using a couple of appropriate sized dowels in the sander's pad, help align the disc with the dust collection holes. Great video, thanks for the tips.

Thank you so much! I am working on a table top that is 50 plus years old. I grew up with it! I've been anxious about the project, so I started with one of the leafs. After watching your video it went quite well and I now I know how the sander works best and have the confidence to finish the table!

I always empty the small dust collection “bag” that came with my orbital sander before sanding a different species of wood. The saw dust can then be saved and mixed with glue and used as a species-specific wood filler.

Wow! You're the BOMB! I'm just getting started (sort of) with using my sanders properly. I knew orbital sanders have a very important role in prepping surfaces. I stripped and sanded my kitchen cabinets 4 years ago and OMG do I regret that dumb decision. Now, however, I'm going to start restoring furniture (for myself--not to sell). I want to do a good job. This video is so clear and covers almost everything. Thank you so much for this!!
