"How is this lab powered?"

"Necromancy, son. Two men were buried here, one good, one evil, forever battling one another. Their struggle generates all the energy we'll ever need."

I love Lalo and Howard’s performance in this scene. Truly incredible.

"quite a lot of planning went into this " is an understatement and Vince took that line and made it to a great plot point in BCS

I really liked Walt and Gus’s relationship before they became enemies. The mutual respect is overwhelming.

I love the music in this scene. It sounds like something straight out of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, or a fairy tale. It capures Walt's feelings regarding the lab perfectly.

a lot of ppl overlook it but this is also a comment on Walt's expertise as chemical engineer. Scaling up a lab process to full scale production takes expertise. And to think - the purity never dropped below 99%..

Everyone talks about how great Walt and Gus are in this scene, but I think Howard really steals the show.

I was expecting Gus to start singing "Come with me, and you'll be, in a world of chemical equation"

As a secret bonus: the lab even had an extra thick layer of concrete at its foundation to block the stench of rotting bodies underneath.

Scene is so much creepier realizing what’s buried underneath

Something I love about this scene is that Gus isnt in his usual, brooding, emotionless self. There’s pride in the help for setting up the lab, amusement seeing Walter understand the equipment, and even some smirks here and there. It’s kinda refreshing, honestly.

Knowing Lalo and Howard are buried right underneath that floor is truly spooky knowing this fact now

Not a lot of people understand how good walt had it in the beginning. Choose his own hours. Millions of dollars per year. All he had to do was do his job, just like Mike said.

1:50 "The filtration system is state of the art" - I love how he mentioned the filtration system - as it is what hank uses to begin his suspicions about Gus. Remember they found a scrap of Pollos Hermano's to-go bag with the requisition number for the industrial filtration system in Gale's apartment. "Whats a vegan doing eating fried chicken"

They enjoyed such a respectful, mutually beneficial relationship - and then along came Jesse.

"We had Fring. We had a lab. We had everything we needed and it all ran like clockwork. You coulda shut your mouth, cooked, and made as much money as you ever needed." - Mike

Walt would've gone out peacefully as a multi-millionaire if only he didn't have such a soft spot for Jesse.

This is the exact moment Gus turned into Willy Wonka

After all Howard and Lalo turned out to be really down to earth people

VERY underrated scene. Entranced me just like Walt when I saw it. Bryan Cranstons reactions are so childlike yet professional. He's in heaven. And the Willy Wonka-like music makes it almost magical...
