Install macOS Sequoia on unsupported models

In this video, I'll explain how to install macOS Sequoia on older, unsupported, Apple Mac models. This could be a fresh install, upgrade or dual boot. We will do this using OpenCore Legacy Patcher. For this video, I'll be using an Mac Mini Late 2014 but this method should work as well for Mac Pro's, MacBooks and different models of iMacs as well that are unsupported.

We'll start with an introduction, prepare the required USB drive, install macOS Sequoia, check the patches and take a quick look at some of the new features.

Other links used in the video:
- USB 1.1 support during installation:

Nice. I’ve got a maxed out Mac mini 7, 1. Going to use it as my work computer. This update has made it faster and usable for office related tasks

Great videos - thanks. Question on Software Updates, As Sequoia goes to 15.2, 15.3 etc, could you please make a video on how to upgrade our systems? Can we simply go through Software Update?

The iPhones that can run 17 are supported for 18, and the Macs that can run 14 (Sonoma) are supported for 15 (Sequoia), except for the 2 MacBook Airs you mentioned. watchOS, however, has dropped support for the Apple Watch Series 4.

Hi. Just to understand... I tried many times to do a clean install on my mid 2012 13" Macbook Pro (i7 2.9, 16 GB RAM and 512 SSD). All proceeds smoothly until I choose the disk for the installation. It seems to be stuck. The third time I let it working for almost 6 hours without knowing if it was working or not. No spinning wheel or progress bar. When I decided to stop, I had to recovery from backup because a message of missing disk appeared. I redownloaded everything, I recreated the Mac Installer without any problem. Now it's stuck again. Any idea? Looking forward to hear back from you (and sorry for my english if it's not clear...). Thanks!

Hey mate, is there any features lost when doing this on unsupported hardware? Also can you sign into your apple account with this?

Sequoia 15.1 runs on my MacBook Pro Mid 2009 a bit slowly but it works. Problem is - the Music application keeps crashing :-( Can't you find any solution for this?
It would be great to give to the old mac a little more life :-)
