Real Hawaiian Food

🌺 Have you ever tried traditional Hawaiian food? We finally made it to Da Ono Hawaiian Food in Honolulu and it was amazing! 😍 Ordered the Laulau set and Chicken Long Rice set – my laulau was packed with tender pork, so delicious! 🤤 The chicken long rice was flavorful with a comforting hint of ginger. 🍗🍚 Both sets included lomi salmon, rice or poi, sweet potato, and haupia. 🍠🥥 Great food, super friendly service – definitely a must-try if you're in Honolulu! 🌴

Thank you for your positive comments on poi! It’s much appreciated because poi always get not so good reviews from people who never had it before. I notice they try poi by itself. Although I love poi by itself, it would be better for someone trying it first the first time to try it with lau lau or kaula pig. But poi really does go beautifully with everything in a traditional Hawaiian dish.

I love chicken long rice and Kalua Pork! Was not able to try the Lau Lau Before we left! We did get to check out 7/11 Hawaii! Got Musubi and Char siu Malasadas!

Yum! We picked up Hawaiian food today for dinner. Our favorites are Helena’s and Highway Inn. Glad you guys enjoy poi!

Is Poi supposed to taste a bit sour? I'm on the mainland and I've only ever had it there.
