My dad painted his red MG white in the 50s himself in his garage. It turned pink! 😂 He ended up painting the car again using black paint. The black paint prevented the red paint from turning the white paint pink. So, I guess black paint was the original sealer. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Cool video!

My friend shop is using and selling kapci coatings it's a polyester based urethane paint and you actually don't have to use a sealer it will in fact alot of times cover over primer in the first coat

Sealer also acts like a glue between the primer and the paint , helping with adhesion, if using a sealer with a hardner catylist, be carefull not to wait too long for the top coats, it will harden too much and the paint will peel, it also helps smooth out sanding scratches, , ,

When i decided to build a Smyth Ute (aluminum and fiberglass kit to turn a car into a El Camino pickup) one of the big builder gurus told me : i know the instructions say to use rtv for sealing items.
RTV is for your bathroom, use real sealer and thank me later.😂
(I know this is about spray sealer, I used a bunch of that so far too).

Doesn't it do the exact same thing as primer? I thought primer was a sealer.
