I'm back! Needed this again and couldn't remember the details. Such a great tip. Hoping to melt the remains of all my old scented candles down and create something new. Could be a disaster, but it's worth a try.

This worked perfectly. I only had wax residue so I did not need to pole holes. I'm going to run them through the dishwasher to get them totally clean and dry to sell. I had 36 candles so this was a life saver!

Wow. I am literally going to go do this right now. I usually buy good candles with lids and hate to throw them away. Now I don't have to.

Just did this! It worked great! Using my huge candle that has a cute lid as a tea container on the counter. So cute, thanks!

That was an exceptional video production! I mean it. The music was perfect for the melting wax coming to the surface. Your voice is fantastic too. I might just subscribe because your production is so professional. Great job!

This is awesome! Thank you. I've been doing the freezer thing and it's never clean or easy.

Thank you for this. I was looking for a safe way to remove the leftover candle wax from my jar. I'm going to use it to put my art brushes!

gonna fill jar with sea salt and on my bedroom window sill to remove condensation. when it gets really wet with moisture i can either put in the oven for ten mins or just use as bath salts

I dip the jar in a large pot of water on the stovetop, melting the wax inside the jar. Once that's done, I pour it into my wax pot and wipe the jar out with a paper towel and then wash it with boiling water (while wearing double layered rubber gloves) 😀

It was easy and I can put a new candel in the container. Thanks!

Forget the knife, freeze the wax, use a flat head screwdriver to break it into chunks that can be easily removed... relatively safe. Works best if the wax is pooled at bottom, otherwise I'll give this boiled water option a try!

I usually use some water and put the glass in the oven (not but too hot) for a few mins.

Put the candle jar in the freezer and let it there a few hours to cool down. The hardened wax is then removed easily, usually in one piece, using a knife.
