I used to work in a church where they'd get many splatters of wax on the carpet. We used this trick, but just used dry paper towel and held the iron on it for a second at a time until the wax was gone. Worked like a charm and no good cloth wasted.

This totally All the other recommendations were about using a paper bag, which I did. But there was waxy residue left on the carpet. I used this, and it worked so quickly - and the waxy residue i s gone, thank you!

Thank Spilt chocolate wax on my beige carpet... this worked! But make sure you don't burn your carpet. Know the sort of iron you have. Mine, at the highest, almost burnt through the towel, so reduced my setting.

Thank you...I used a knife to scrape off excess wax. Then kept old newspapers over the wax, and ironed. Wax melts and paper absorbs it.. repeat it and gives great results 😮. Thank you for your help..❤

My daughter spilled over a candle warmer and it was red into my brand new carpet. I don’t have my iron at the moment it’s in the storage. I had to use my hair straightener to melt it😮 btw, thanks, for this suggestion, it’s back to brand new!
