I just made the switch to tofu litter yesterday and im already loving it. The clumping properties make it so much easier to scoop and clean (i was using breeder celect recommended by the cattery all this time). The tracking is honestly very minimal compared to before. I take about half the time i used to cleaning the litterboxes for my two rascals twice daily now T. T

Very helpful video! I have just shifted to Tofu Litter and the experience has been amazing. Less odor, less dust! Btw, my cat's name is Arya, too!

It sounds a sensible option. We currently use softwood litter which seems to work. I have seen Tofu litter in the pet shops around here (Canberra Aust), but will check it out next time. Thanks for the advice.

I've been using pine pellets (from farm store), grass litter and recently Tofu litter. The grass litter is getting pretty pricey and it sure does track, but my cat loves it. I'm on the fence about the Tofu litter, my cat was a bit hesitant when stepping on the crunchy sound that the litter makes, but he is used to it now. I'm one of those people who scoop many times a day and I find Tofu to be gummy and smelly if it gets scooped too soon after use. My boy always urinates against the side of his pan and the litter gets quite soaked. He doesn't pee in a nice circle in the middle of the box like the commercials. If I wait long enough for the litter to dry it is easy to scoop and has less of the gummy texture. If I put a lot of litter in the box he digs to China and then there is that mess. So, for me, the jury is still out with Tofu litter.

I have been watching your videos for a while now, but I enjoyed this this one more because I finally adopted a cat last week (my first one). And I do have to vacuum daily now :)...

how or where did you find the surrounding how you did on the inside of the litter box? 1:04

I used the same grass seed one for years, but it attracts bugs. I had some moths that ended up loving it and it’s like a breeding ground for moths. My cat also would eat the clumps once in a while (so gross), but he never tries to eat Dr elsey’s ultra clay. I also tried a lot of others including wheat, corn, etc, but I always eventually go back to Dr elsey’s while I try to look for alternatives.

I tried Tuft and paw tofu litter recently and it’s great. It just didn’t really cover up the smell that well. I clean the Litterbox daily, but I notice it smells worse than other litter. I did like tofu litter so I might try Pidan as well. Thank you for the review.

I really want to use pine litter, but being in southeast asia, pine wood is very expensive since it is not endemic here, I found out that tofu litter is very affordable here same cheaper than clay since tofu is widely consumed. I don't know if it works well so I tried searching for video reviews, and thanks to you I'm ready to switch.

You forgot the mention one of the pros of tofu cat litter is you can flush it on the toilet. Pretty simple if you live in apartment or too lazy like me to buy another plastic bag to dispose it.

Here in TH, pinewood pellets cat litter is actually cheaper than tofu cat litter. For 20 liter of pinewood costs around 10 USD I can use it for 2 months. While 28 liter of tofu litter which costs about the same can only be used for 4 - 5 weeks. However after using pinewood for 7+years, I just switched to tofu few days ago and already loved it. It's not dusty like pinewood, smells better, and easier to clean. My cats are still adjusting but seems like they like it too.

I checked out the tofu cat litter, and it's relatively more expensive here than its alternative, Cat's Best, which is also organic and derived from plants. 🙂

The only reason why I do not use tofu litter is because I am very worried my cats would eat the tofu litter after reading reviews from some cat parents that use tofu litter! I have been doing research on the best cat litter that do not stick on cat paws and no dust, right now I am using Dr Elsey’s Precious Cat Ultra Clumping litter, it is not dusty at all but occasionally still have tiny particles on my cats’ paws so it is still not ideal. 😅

Thanks for this wonderful video. How many litter boxes do you use for your cats? Growing up I always used 1 for two cats. But recently I have been reading it's good to get 1 per cat? Just wondering, thanks! :)

Hi again - how many times a month do you change the litter box with tofu? With corn here we can withstand up to 4 weeks - given daily cleaning that is...

Do you think this litter would work well in a sifting litter box? (Currently using the Tidy Cats Breeze sifting litter box). Thanks!
