Great video. My surprise walking around old Palermo was that some streets were so small I was sure I was on a sidewalk until a motorcycle drove by. So I would tell tourists to be extra careful walking around and never think you know it all. Expect surprises. I felt very safe the month I spent in old town. I loved that my Airbnb was close to the sea, street market, and lots of great eateries.

Going to Palermo shortly, how would I know a good area from a bad area when booking a hotel. They all mention how central they are only.

Is it a straight walk from central station to vucciria as I have paid for accomadation beside central station in October...?

I live in a town near to Palermo and use the trains at night. I’ve never had any problem at the train station.
