This pattern is definitely worth buying. 
The Ribblr platform is very easy to navigate and the pattern itself is very well written. The explanations are nice and clear so it's great for beginners who want to knit their first garment without worrying about knitting in the round. I'm an experienced knitter but this is the first adult-sized jumper I've made and I'm very impressed with how quickly its knitting up so far. I'm using a fingering weight yarn but its still working out well because the pattern is so forgiving.
