Baby Boy Set: How to crochet newborn star stitch sweater jacket -cardigan 0-6M Crochet for Baby #176

My name is Sara welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this newborn Baby boy star stitch layette set that’s very easy to make. We will start with this simply adorable star stitch crochet cardigan, sweater, baby jacket, coat or matinee jacket for newborn baby boy from 0-3 months. You can also make this crochet set for girls just make sure you make the button holes in the correct side. Also, If you want to make it for newborn baby just use a 3mm crochet hook with light #3 baby yarn. For 3-6 months use baby yarn and a 4mm crochet hook. For 6-9m you can use a 4.5mm hook. For 9-12M use 4.5mm hook with any #4, Aran or 10ply yarn

For this crochet baby star stitch matinee coat tutorial I used lion brand baby yarn in the color little boy blue and white with a 3.5 mm crochet hook.

I Used 136 grams of yarn for baby jacket, 82 grams for the baby pants, 40 grams for the baby hat with pom pom, 23 grams for baby bonnet and 22 grams for baby booties. I also used 13mm or 9/16 in buttons.

Thank you for the pattern. Just an FYI for people watching, when you say "two double crochet together" that could suggest you mean to decrease stitches. If I hadn't double checked the video to see that you actually did an increase that could have been really confusing. Just thought I'd let you know incase anyone else got caught out by that.
