Okay, this is a great block. Thank you for the instructions. However, I'm trying to wrap my brain around a larger quilt. Not blocks to make a quilt, but single strips running diagonally, Not very big, perhaps just a throw size, maybe 50" X 65"? Do you have a tip? I have the 10" foundation papers for the block, but how do you do it for quilt, without pieced blocks? Thanks so much.

I can’t be bothered with such fine strips which fray and get all thready - I am also a person who likes controlled scrappiness ... my scraps are generally offcuts of squares and triangles so I have hardly any skinny strips. I would be more inclined to make tiny half square triangles (1.5”)and use those, or, use them for tiny house blocks unfinished size 3.5” or 4.5” square.

I don’t understand the need for the backing. Just sew the strips together.

I tried to do this today. I only did one block so I failed because I don't have enough scraps - LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
