I Just Monetized My 2nd Faceless YouTube Channel (Here’s Exactly How Step by Step)

📞Want 1 on 1 Mentorship from Bryan?

I just successfully monetized my 2nd Faceless YouTube Automation Channel. So ignore all the doubters that are saying it can’t be done.

In this video we’re going to break down how I was able to do it, as well as EVERY Single component of what goes into identifying a good faceless channel niche….EVERY single component of how to create the videos….and how long it took to achieve results.

There’s also been several recent developments relating YouTube monetization that are EXTREMELY ENCOURAGING for those of you wanting to start faceless channels.

Mainly…. the Youtube partner program requirements have been lowered. You no longer need 1,000 subs and 4,000 hours of watch time to apply for the partner program

Instead, you now only need 500 subs….and 3,000 hours of watch time! Which is a major difference and certainly a lot more achievable in a short time frame.

They’re currently rolling this out to specific channels slowly…but it’ll inevitably be available to all channels soon.

This Faceless Channel adventure has been a longer journey than I was expecting it to be when I started. I dropped my first video on trying this around 8 months ago….and I’ve made several update videos since then.

And if you’re unfamiliar with what happened….I spent around 2 weeks paraphrasing popular videos on current topics in the political niche, then overlaying Creative Commons videos on tops of those voiceovers.

These videos were divisive and garnered a lot of interest…which lead to lots of views. The only issue was when I finally hit the 4,000 hours of watch time and 1,000 subscribers needed to monetize at the time….youtube rejected my channel due to “repetitive content”.

After analyzing why this happened, I’ve since made a few different assumptions…

1. YouTube’s policy on which channels will get accepted and which ones won’t is FAR from cut and dry. On the first go round I assumed that if I wasn’t just copying other people’s videos, I would get monetized. But that’s not what happened.

2. The most frequent reason I’m seeing them give for why channels don’t get accepted into the partner program is “repetitive content”…but that term Is super broad and basically leaves it up to the person reviewing your channel’s interpretation of whether your channel IS….or IS NOT “repetitive content”

3. I believe that paraphrasing scripts wasn’t the issue….I think using creative commons videos was actually the issue. While you are technically allowed to use these videos….I didn’t add enough to them…or edit them around enough to pass as enough of new content that I added something to.

4. All in all….DON’T leave it up to interpretation for the reviewer…unless you want to roll the dice. Instead, use the formula we’ll cover here in a second AND MAKE SURE.

Now before we cover the video formula that’s been working well for me recently, it’s important to explain how to properly pick a winning niche.

There’s 2 important things you need to make sure of when choosing your niche…

1. Pick something you’re already interested in AND/OR are skilled in…or know a lot about. This will give you a leg up on other people making videos within that niche that might not know as much about the topic as you do. Plus, if you enjoy the topic….making videos on it won’t seem like work….it’ll seem like fun.

2. It’s crucial that you do some niche research BEFORE launching a channel. Don’t just pick a random thing you THINK will work…or a niche that you see other people doing. That’s a sure fire recipe for failure.

a. For example you might see another channel that’s blown up recently or getting a lot of views in the…dog breed niche….analyzing a stock niche…to name to random ones. But that DOES NOT mean it’s a good one for YOU. For every channel you’re seeing that’s successful, there’s a high likelihood that there’s hundreds or thousands that AREN’T. And you’re just not getting suggested the failing ones b/c their videos are dead in YT’s algorithm.

Posting Faceless shorts still work really great for me on my second channel. I mean, I am just small content creator and I work really hard (I also use a little bit of fame- ster, but that's a necessity nowadays). I just give all my videos small initial boost, and that caused them to spread literally everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.

Thank you so much for sharing this video!
It's been really informative and inspiring to see how to create a successful faceless channel on YouTube.
I've always been curious about trying this approach, your insights and other YT'ers have given me the confidence to give it a shot.
I started with it and the first goal is 1k subs and monetization, will sent an update on how its going next month!

This was better than I thought it would be, so thanks for the information and insight you gave, as a real person. I am trying to hit it off in the right direction but keep getting stuck with analysis.

it happened on both of my channels, it took me months to understand why but repetitive content gets triggered because you might have uploaded the same video twice on your channel (even if one is private). That's what happened to me, I had a private video uploaded to check something, and edited it a bit and then reuploaded and scheduled it to make it public. After appealing and explaining that that was the issue, they approved me.

The YPP changes ONLY apply to Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States and is rolling out over the next month or so. Would have been nice if you added that part

no - you have it wrong, for ad revenue is still 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours. The 500 subs and 3000 watch hours opens up for things like Super Thanks and Super Likes, and stuff like that. It is mainly targeted people who do lives or podcasts, and building a community. But that aside, I totally agree with you on how to choose a niche you know something about over what is trending.

Thankyou for your video, if you get rejected for monetisation for a channel, can you go back and work on it and reapply again? Or do you only get one chance to apply per channel? Thankyou :-)

In the meantime, thousands of faceless channels get demonetized daily.

2:00 minutes in, "Person, reviewing your channel?" lol
Ya right.
If there were real people doing anything here, maybe my channel wouldn't have been demonetized.
I just figure bots handle virtually everything.
