Galaxy Tab A8: How to Force a Restart? Can't Restart?

I show you how to force a restart on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. You typically do this first if you cannot restart the normal way maybe cause you have having screen issues, its frozen etc. Hope this helps.

Thank you, this worked after a 2 month old Samsung A8 tablet got stuck on 5% battery life and would not recharge after trying everything except this restart. Normal restart green button and shut down would not even pop up, 30 sec soft restart didn't work, different socket or charger did nothing. Funny thing is since everything was connected properly the Android OS can basically deny a device from charging since after your fix it didn't see it had been connected to a charger for 4 hours and was still stuck at 5% battery life, key difference being this time with the lightning bolt symbol in the battery icon.

My newer Samsung devices start to freeze up if I avoid the updates for a bit. It's like Samsung is strong-arming me into getting the uodates
