Allen & Heath SQ - SQ SLink Card

Keith introduces the SQ SLink Card for the SQ series of digital mixers.

With the same functionality as the built-in SLink port, the card allows connection to a further 128 inputs and 128 outputs of digital audio and opens the SQ to a range of new system possibilities.

Hi Keith, is there still a plan to record more the 16 tracks directly from a usb connect at the sq6/7. You told in Frankfurt last April about the option to lower the sample frequentie to 48k to get this done. It should be a great option to record more then 16 tracks to a usb disk-drive.

Currently we are running the SQ6 with inputs going through the s-link stage boxes and (due to not wanting to dig up perfectly good cable runs in our stage floor) direct inputs from a patchbay to our front of house SQ6. We are wanting to add another board for our broadcast mix. Would this setup allow us to connect to our FoH board to our broadcast board and forward all connections (s-link and direct inputs)?

Hi Keith. Can I connect two AR2412 to SQ6?. A&H manual tells that it only supports 40 ins and 20 outs.

Is it possible to link a SQ6 with an AHM sharing the same inputs, for example in a mid-week service program a Custom Control app is used to mix mics using the AHM but during a main service program the SQ6 is rather used?

Hi Keith, is GX4816 compatible with an SQ-5? If compatible, can I use all 48 inputs, or the SQ-5 can't handle that many inputs?

Hi Keith, any guidance on how to send signal from one SQ to another over tie lines? I’ve followed the videos and patched FOH tie lines to the SLink option card which is going to the slink port on my broadcast console. what do I need to do on the broadcast sq to receive signal? thanks

hii keith... i want to use 40chnnel input to my event.. i just use SQ5.. i want to use AB1608 and AR2412 to my system.. so can i run at sme time in my system?? first to AB1608 and go to AR2412.. but without Slink option card.. just Slink port?? can???

is it also possible to link/cascade two sq7 mixers to get a larger system? if yes, does both of them need a dante card, to have all the channels in dante environment on both mixers? Example, I have dante stagebox somewhere far away, getting the signals via dante protocol, share all the incoming signals to both of the mixers plus to a recording computer environment and also have the possibility to mix a sum for broadcast, monitor returns etc. I think you understand what I mean. Hi Keith, I have a SQ6, AB168 and AR84. Is it possible to connect Slink to AB168 and link AR84 to AB168 to add more channels or I will need the addition SLink Card?
