I set up 3 builds for the holidays while sales are running - you can get a lot of bang for your buck right now!

To modify the High End System without the R9 295X2, use your favorite GTX 980 and the PSU from Build 2.

Two editing fails in this video, sorry guys -- I annotated the first one, the second is the 7-8 mins of black video at the end, I will trim that off as soon as YouTube lets me!

Paul....that was awesome, thanks. I'm building an HTPC for my Dad and you helped me make up my mind on a few parts!

That mid end build would cost the twice in my country. Them Muricans get the best bang of the buck..

No joke when I discovered pcpartpicker and I saw your how to build videos, I jumped on the custom build bandwagon and it's extremely hard to get off. Already have one mid range build down and will work on a high end machine later. I want to indulge in every aspect of computer hardware as much as time and finances allow. Never too late to teach an old dog new tricks lol. Except for learning mandarin Chinese. I'm afraid I won't have enough time or patience for that :/

Paul, please try to get some acoustic foam to your garage so we could get better audio without the reverb, thanks!

Dang, what awesome deals! If only I started working a month before the holiday season. Great choices too, I had my build planned for a good couple months now and we're not far off at all. I wanted to do a mITX build though, my pricing ended up close to $1, 000.

I've recently purchased my first build-it-yourself PC (it'll be here in two weeks..woo!!) and I was wondering if you could upload a walkthrough of the start up process in detail -- talking about OS/BIOS setup, downloading and uploading drivers, etc. etc. Just answering some typical newbie questions involving that whole initial boot-up process after the PC is built. Then, if you have time, possibly answering questions that look to the future of protecting your equipment with what security software I'll need or future updates to look out for. Maybe you could do a "software" edition! This would be extremely helpful for me, but maybe I'm just being needy... :p

Those are some good and balanced builds, personaly in the mid tier I would go amd fx 8350 and gtx 980, but that's just my preference to doing more OC.

Hey paul for the budget build you can get an i3-4150, an h81m plus, N200 case, corsair builder 430w
4 gigs of ram (8 gigs for an extra €25-30) and an r9 270

I think Enermax Ostrog is a good Mid-tower for budget builds... my sister got hers for $29.99.... it has USB 3.0 and a decent looking window. but the cable management is kinda pain in the ass because there's not much room...

im planning on upgrading to an i5 4690K and a new Z97 mobo this year.
i have an A8-6600K APU and a GTX 760, when i bought my PC i was impatient and wanted to be able to play games as soon as i got the PC because i wasnt able to get the GPU until tax returns, so i went with an APU. and lets just say the CPU part of that APU isnt too good.
