Last Wednesday night, Jennon Morin, 39-year-old, was found nearly frozen and with unexplained injuries after walking home last week in southwest Edmonton, Canada.

Morin and his brother were at Grand Villa Casino in the Ice District, gambling and watching the Oilers play the St. Louis Blues.

Despite severe cold, with temperature nearing minus 30 with windchill, Morin's whereabouts for eight hours remain unknown.

His family and local police are seeking information regarding the mysterious incident that left Morin in intensive care.

Global's Sarah Ryan reports.

His injuries definitely point to an altercation with someone else.

if he got injured at some point that could have also made him have poor judgement about trying to walk so far. even if he fell himself. that was probably a huge factor

My love and prayers are for this beautiful soul, his family and friends. 🙏❤️

Hmmm, maybe he had a heart attack and fell. I'm not completely sure because of the full details of all of his injuries. The back of the head one is really suspicious

I would assume he was jumped by a group of hooligans. Sad

Missing jacket, $, wallet... he probably got jumped by the local meth heads (theyre city wide by the way) and left for dead.

Tragedy.

Wait, dude was trying to walk home from Century Park to Terwilleger? Thats like over an hour in winter conditions with a massive river valley in the middle.

Don't see the chances of an attack in that area being very likely as its all suburbia the entire way through. Tragic but man I would Uber that last stretch just to avoid the conditions.

Winter weather in Edmonton will kill you if you give it any opportunity to do so. It ain’t personal, it’s physics. Disregard extreme temperatures at your peril.

Not sure what happened in this case of course, but if this poor guy was walking that far in -20C temperatures or thereabouts, and wasn’t in full winter gear, then all you would need for a tragic outcome would be a little bit of alcohol impairment.

A very sad story. Best of luck.

Okay well .... I dunno why dude would walk from century park to rabbit hill road in -30 degrees seems unwise

This news are ridiculous. Some drunk after a casino that got in a fight. Look how he dresses its only obvious . What a waste of news broadcasting with this one .

this is why we need cameras and more police patrolling.

if people are still very stubborn and NOT agree, then let it be. let us continue to decline, we are already declining compared to other countries. cameras are needed and police should be more responsible for public safety and react so people can be safe, as we all pay high tax but we don't receive that safety service we deserve.
