Vijayawada faces worst floods in two decades; 40 per cent of city submerged

For the first time in 20 years, heavy rains have caused severe flooding in many parts of Vijayawada, bringing widespread destruction across Andhra Pradesh. However, rising inflows to the Prakasam Barrage triggered freshwater fears among residents living in the region.

The news in the video seems incorrect and worrying. . However, local people in Vijayawada have told me that Vijaywada and Guntur and connecting areas are unaffected. Only about 10 villages around the canal Bodimeru ( which has flooded) are affected. These areas are around the Hyderabad road and near Gannavaram. However, relief activities are necessary and must go on well. SHared information I got so that those who get worried from the video can recheck saftey of their people.
