These floods almost killed me. I was supposed to go on a trip to Madhya Pradesh. I left my school at 2:45 pm and reached my home at 3:15 pm. I wanted to buy and bring some sweets with me but my parents said that we were running out of time, so we began our journey at 3:45 pm. By the time we crossed the Uttar Pradesh border, my friend, Arjunat called me. It was not good news. A cloudburst centred on the town and flooded the area so badly almost nobody had survived. Everything including our family home got sent away. He said that he and his parents were stranded in their car while trying to escape the floods and soon to be landslide after that. He told me the rains began 15 minutes after I left.

If I had waited for my sweets instead of going on time, I wouldn’t be typing this comment right now.

This flood was arrived at last year in Himachal Pradesh a state of India.
