Aside from the price my greatest setback with this gopro is that it wasn't designed well enough to have an external mic, maybe you can flip open the little hatch and plug the micro usb to 3.5mm mic adapter but that's far from what I want

- 4 bills, but no 4K.
- Waterproof, but a fisheye view.
- Light and small, almost feature-less, nearly buttonless.
- Large Memory OR low bitrate; as it certainly outlasts the 2+ hour Battery.

-- That said it would make a wonderful "B Camera" for a Drone.

I was completely excited about it. I would love to give it to my adventure father as a gift but this price is too high!! If it were $100 less, that would be at least a bit expensive! Right now is just crazy expensive.

It's nice to be able to swap out batteries and have one battery charging while the other one is being used

Look at other reviews before buying this. The video quality took a quite big hit. Not sure why the verge isnt bringing this up.

The Replay XD Prime X is has a lower profile and is only $299, better custom built cinema lens, 16MP stills. Waterproof no case also.

obviously the size is very interesting, how about plugging in external microphones for recording motobike movies? anyway good to see gopro keeps going with developing new stuff

Funny. I've just received three SJCAM M10s for $249 CAD the week this was announced, thats $83 per piece. I find it hard as to why I would spend $508 CAD on the Session. There's just no justification despite being waterproof out of the box. It seems that GOPro decided to answer back to the competition of the M10's size by producing this camera. I see very little to win me over though.

I stand by my purchase.

I'll grab one of these when there's a price drop. Hopefully if enough people voice concern about the price GoPro will listen. This won't replace my hero 4 black but will be a good 2nd camera option especially as a wearable option.

Great concept and definitely the future of things to come. A little worried about the price point though which I think most people are. Let's hope it doesn't bomb or push sales over to Polaroid and their Cube, although it's not in the same league, it is a lot cheaper and the same form factor.
