GoPro Hero 4 Session vs Hero 4 Silver

Testing out the capabilities of the latest GoPro Hero 4 Session vs the Hero 4 Silver. Both retail for $400. Which would you take?

One question, this review is based on the price from six months ago when it retailled for the same price as the gopro hero silver. Now the price has gone down to 200, which one do you recommend?

I am surprised audio quality was not addressed being that one of the Session's stronger features is its audio being that it doesn't require housing

I love the size of the session but wish they would have stuck with the waterproof housing and a removable battery is a must. With smart phone connectivity hero 4 silvers display I feel is unnecessary. I mean we use these cameras in extreme conditions so lens scratches and body damage needs to be cheaply replaceable what were you thinkin GoPro you missed the ball on this one. but still very interested in what you're going to do next hopefully you will take some notes.

What is the release cycle for GoPro? I mean should i wait for the Session 2 or nah?

In my country, session and hero+ (The one with a screen) have the same price, maybe will buy one of those but can you tell which one is better?

I find the session alot better for mounting and more hardcore stuff. Although if i wan't to bring to summer camp or something i would need my phone to control the session

Considering that they are priced similarly I'd go for the Silver one because of the that protection and the removable battery

I already have hero4black. And i'll get this session to have the smaller, lighter device with waterproof microphone!!!
Just for outdoor fun with no complicated boxes, no battery-eating LCDs and so on.
But I agree the price should be lower for such amateur gopro.

theyre for 2 seperate things, the session is for mounting onto stuff thats why its small and light

I bought the silver but I purchased a session on eBay for $300 and it came with a Casey case a floaty and a wall charger which all retail for about $120 retail so I'm kinda happy about that, but the session is pretty convinient so maybe the next generation session would be the one to get... In the mean while I'm just gonna see what I can do with mine and if I'm not happy, I'll put it on ebay lol
