Tourist-Free Early Season Travels | Fann Mountains

I started hiking in Tajikistan's Fann Mountains at the end of May 2023. I saw a few tourists on two out of sixteen days. On other days I only met shepherds.

The route is: Moghiyon - Haft Kul - Sarmad - Munora Pass - Nagnud - Pushtikul Lake - Kshtudak - Archamaydon - Zimtud - Chuqurak Lake - Chimtarga Lake - Alauddin Lake - Hojikitob - Revud - Poymazor - Sarvoda Immat - Zinakh Pass - Dijik.

Incredible trees, so much character in them from slow growth and taking a beating by snow, ice, and wind. Reminds me of trees up in the Sierra Nevada and in windswept parts of Patagonia.

Nice! You had all the Fanns to yourself... :) By Chimtarga Lake you mean Mutniy Lake or something else ? Also, an advice if I may. Avoid camping under big trees (03:10). You never know in what condition it is and when a branch may fall on you. I have seen it happen.
