You're giving me flashbacks to our last cruise, where someone of our bags were searched without anyone telling us.
It was like a game of Whispers with the family and staff all roaming the ship looking for each other, and we had to use the room phone for ages.
Missed the sailaway party unfortunately :(
Still a brilliant cruise though, good enough that I'd almost completely forgotten about it!

The Edge series is a bitch to build, those ships are built extra fast!
Some people not only live for a long time in these, but they're flown in at the shipyard. They start setting up their workspaces while shipworkers are still on board.

There NEEDS to be horror media about cruises somewhere. Trapped in tiny rooms, out on the open seas with no way to reach land if you disappear overboard... The windowless maze that is the crew corridors that would be a PERFECT horror setting. Especially with how laws and crimes of all sorts work on ships like this, where it's under the jurisdiction of the nearest country. Come on now, y'all. Imagine it :D

Wow. I go with TUI. Drop bags at airport and are in your cabin in arrival, same in reverse on the way back - leave outside cabin pick up at airport.

As someone who has worked for carnival and been in jail; I prefer jail.

Edit: I’ll clarify, I was locked up in Norther California, so this may not apply to someone having to do time in some private pen in the Deep South, cooking their asses off and suffering all day.
