"This suggests Boeing has strayed from its strong engineering foundations." - Bank of America

Boeing and NASA might consider merit based hiring.

Morgan Brennan is correct. It really is SpaceX vs Everyone Else. The whole narrative around "New Space" and "Commercial Space" is largely a mirage, perhaps 1 part truth, 9 parts optical illusion. SpaceX's gargantuan reshaping of space has confused analysts and observers into thinking that we're experiencing a tsunami of innovative successful new companies and business models. Sure, lots of new companies would LIKE to be "the New SpaceX", and would like to do rapid iteration and sci-fi levels of innovation. But the truth is almost everyone not named SpaceX is bleeding money and taking a very long time to get to market.

Ironically Boeing’s problems resulted from CEO pandering to stock price concerns. Start building great products again and your stock price will take care of itself. Meanwhile, if it’s blowing, I ain’t going.

Butch and Suni packed. But NASA pulled their personal suitcases just before the launch in order to take some additional cargo...

Massive L for Boeing… perhaps they should concentrate on building aircraft with good parts, good software and upholding safety standards that they left behind to save money and increase profits

Praying for the two there until February. Great report thanks! I think people expect these types of things. And as we move into space travel and even toward space tourism I think it will happen. 🌳 But I hope they get home safely.

Boeing makes too much money in defense to give up their civilian space “attempts”.

Boeing is under contract to provide at least 3 crewed missions to the ISS at one a year. NASA has an option for 3 more although it is doubtful there is enough time before the ISS is deorbited in 2030.

NASA should swallow its pride and ask the Chinese Space Agency to bring them down. They'd do it in half the time and tenth of the cost. They're playing with people's lives here. This is a freaking embarrassment

Why bother with Boeing for only 5 more launches.
