Atheists Acting Like Theists for 5 Minutes

These are the most common ways theists respond to atheists. I know, because many thousands of theists comment on my videos and send me messages. I'm also aware of what many other atheists have experienced. If you're a believer, and you respond these ways, you are NOT doing a good job of representing your faith.

One of my favorites is telling someone "I was raised (insert Christian denomination)". I use a different one every time but the response is always, "oh THATS why you're an atheist".

The friendly atheist did something similar once, I like the one where he said "OH you're religious? Well, I'll think for you."

"That's cool. Do you go to church?"

"I'm an atheist."
"Why can't you keep your thoughts to yourself? You're not respecting people with other beliefs!"

To some extent, Christians are also shunned for "not respecting other beliefs" merely for being Christian or saying they go to church (probably because atheism and Christianity are the two main beliefs of the West, which doesn't have an "exotic third-world culture"). However, atheists don't say that to Christians, but Christians keep saying that to atheists.

You forgot to mention the "War on happy holidays" and that atheist demand at the coffee shop to be called "happy holiday" because everyone wants to say "merry christmas".
