It's time to limit access to this beautiful mountain.

People should be ashamed of themselves, leaving all that garbage behind. It costs a lot of money to climb Everest so these climbers should each be charged for a 'garbage Sherpa', a person who is paid well to pick up their trash since they obviously are not picking it up themselves. It should be mandatory for all or one person paid to pick up the garbage of x people and bring it back down of course.

Sad the amount of trash left behind, no respect for the mountain they climbed.

People are so stupid for thinking they're amazing for climbing that tourist trap. It's just an ego trip that risks their lives and other lives, not impressed.

The whole Everest tourist thing is just gross. People risking their lives to retrieve hundreds of bodies on the mountain. You'd think these tourists would get a clue.

Pack it in, pack it out! Leave no trace!

Many of those who attempt to climb Mt. Everest pay up to $65, 000 to specialist companies. Perhaps the Nepalese government should begin taxing those companies to help pay for body and trash removal.
It's an absolute disgrace that those with that kind of wealth think it's okay to leave their trash all over.

It's Not a 'Rescue mission'. It's a Body RECOVERY !

Imagine, 11 000kgs of trash in one trip! Ironic that these climbers usually like to portray themselves as "stewards of the environment." What a joke.

“It’s going to turn into a graveyard…” I think it already is

Close down access for 5 years to cleanup and let the environment recover.

You do realize that if the ice did not melt from time to time that the entire peak would be a huge block of ice? It has melted will freeze again....and melt again...and freeze again.

A Divine Space, yet they toss their garbage and don’t show any respect for the place.

It’s called ‘spring’…..how did bodies get under ice in the first place? The bodies were there before ice covered them, and the ice will be back in the next bad winter.

I'm glad for the families who loved ones are found...limit access in the future...blessings

There are times when bodies are kicked over cliffs and disappear at the bottom .

"that" is used to refer to things - "who" for people. There were not people THAT didn't make it home. There were people WHO didn't make it home. You're welcome.

I bet at one time the mountain never had any snow on it. Now that it is melting again, people think it is the end of the world. Again.

The climbers who championed the take your trash home message are the biggest culprits. The Nepal government must demand a deposit of a least USD10K and non refundable if the trash they bring down did not coincide with the amount of supplies 6hat they brought up while doing the climb. Should let those climbers pay for the trash that they left behind.
