In this video I attempt to lower my 1985 Chevrolet Caprice Classic with 1995 - 1996 Chevrolet Impala front and rear springs. There were struggles, bad words, and finally success. I was not expecting the outcome.

I sourced the springs from a craigslist part out and the end links were in stock at my local O'Reilly's.

In the midst of the spring replacement, I decided to install new front shocks and front sway bar end links. Thank you for watching.

Man I recently did the front suspension on my Monte carlo. Springs, shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends and control arm bushings. If I never have to do that again, it would be too soon!!!! It was nice to get the knowledge and experience of doing it but never again!!! Ball joints and bushings are hell sent🤣🤣🤣

You could look at replacing the springs. Maybe adapt some truck springs in the rear or some other heavier duty type.

Put a front Swaybar out of a Station Wagon or a F41 Sport Suspension car. The stock front bar is hollow on that car stock, the others are larger and solid. It will firm up the float BIG TIME along with the rear sway bar.

Looks like it has the F41 hd suspension on it, rpo code will be on underside or trunk lid.

Nice Chevy. I lifted mine up with springs ment for a 80s truck with the 454 they were a pain to get in, but well worth it I stuffed some 17" eagle alloys with a 265/70 white letters tires looks nice

I’ve owned mine for 3 years and barely drive it, needs some work now, my question is why do you need to lower it anyway? When you load the trunk up it’ll sit lower 😂
