Thankfully I had an amazing primary care ARNP, now retired, that tested my level almost ten years ago. She put me on the 5, 000 iu and I've been taking it since then. Excellent info. Thank you Dr. B!

I just upped my vitamin d recently and I feel like I'm doing better. It was low. I'm always low.
I was told to take with k2 so it will absorb much better.
I worry though because I'm a chronic kidney stone maker but 2, 000 a day wasn't cutting it. Now I'm doing 5, 000 iu day! I pray the kidney stones stay dormant because my ms is enough to handle 🤣

I take 50, 000 iud once weekly, it's hard to keep my levels above 52!!! Vitamin k2 helps to absorb it..thank you as always doctor 💖

I wonder if vitamin D should be taken with vitamin k2, as a lot of people with MS also have osteoporosis.
Thanks Dr B for your opinion.

Hi Dr Boster, i just looked at most recent blood work and it indicated 33.2 ng/mL for my 25-Hydroxy Vitamin D Total, this was on Dec 30th. I've since been taking 2000IUa day, should i increase that amount given your recommendation for above 50 but below 100. I will be going in for my lumbar puncture on 2/8 and will get another blood draw, i will be sure to look at the 25-Hydroxy level to see if it has increased or not.
