Body possession didn't even make sense for it. Wasn't even necessary. It's not like Diana's wish was "I wish Steve would still be with me and possess someone else's body" it was literally just she wished he was alive.
They NEVER said that it was just his Soul that was back, it was Steve who was back. So it wasn't even possession but they made it possession. Made absolutely no sense. They could've made him just appear and then she leaves him, the camera pans where you can't see him anymore. The guy was still standing there but you don't see him. They literally could've done the same thing where he literally just disappears...

Hey there, just stumbled on this Youtube vid. I totally agree with every point you made. I think the problem with the powers that be is the "exit"--like, if they had Steve's ACTUAL body come back, then how do you kill him off again? It's definitely lazy work, to be sure, just having Steve's soul disappear and then the original dude is just there at the end, but I guess they couldn't figure out how to actually kill Steve off again?
But yeah, it's a creepy way to bring Steve back at that guy's expense.
