Whoever edits your videos is a genius. Nearly killed me with that 'choking' part which ends with offering 'special'. I am also a victim of 485 age restriction. I m in my final semester of Masters by coursework. Once i return back to my country, without the relevant work experience, but just with the university certificates, i won't be able to get just hired for sure. This academic certificate is going to turn into the most expensive toilet-roll for me. It will cost me about 120 grand with zero return on investment, and they call this to be one of the fairest countries in the world that advocates and preserves the human rights, , no discrimination whatsoever, what a lie, what a joke 😂.

Thanks Karl, you are not just a migration agent, you are social media influencer and a journalist as well. You are raising very important points in your videos. I must say you are underrated for the work you do. I hope you get even more attention from the main stream media.
I just want to politely give my counterargument that student cap is a good thing in my opinion. This is the only policy that will impact both parties (the international education mafia and international students). While all the other solutions proposed to solve this "problem" seems to be doing more damage to students rather than big corporations. Increasing number of student visa rejections during the last year and increasing the student visa fee this year are good examples of that.

As an international student seeking to obtain a PR in Australia, the situation is so stressful 😔

No transition period for the 485 visa for those over 35 years old? For students who have invested millions of dollars in their education and left their families, this decision is simply unimaginable, Karl.

I love the humour in your videos, Karl. Keep it up.

No transition period for 485 visa for 35 years is a big disappointment! Australia has a country has let down a lot of hard working students and have blood on their hands. Ridiculous labour, never voting them again.

At least no 485 visa for new students is understandable not for the existing ones. Ffs 🤦‍♂️

Hi Karl,

There are hundreds of people from different occupations (not priority occupations) who live and work in metro cities waiting from May/June/July 2023 for visa processing for Visa 186 Direct Entry which of their applications has passed published timeline of the Department by far. (In 9 months for %90) At the same time, they are quickly processing new applicants from 2024 applications. Could you please help us our voice to be heard? There is no certainty or guidelines that make us to understand why this unfairness happening? Do you have any idea?

Thank you for your all videos and efforts.

perhaps if incentivising hoarding housing for tax purposes was abolished the housing crisis would ease a bit

So let me get this straight, the Australian government have looked at the housing crisis in Australia and thought -Yeah, na, yeah what housing crisis? why would we need more trades to help with a housing crisis when you can buy a tent at Bunnings

Hi Karl, if I am on 482 visa, will 186 transitional pathway still available for us when the new skill in-demand is in place? M afraid that will remove 186 TRT too.

Very excellent video and extensively informative as always Karl. I am a fan here. Thank you for your empathy for international students. I hope the Minister will be reminded how rampant the mental health problem here in Australia. They're very much concern of the wellbeing of their people but not for international students especially for those over 35 years old whose been here since last year and has been contributed already to the economy. How is that? So disappointing outrageous!. I am one that cannot be eligible for 485 visa and I am on my final term now of my expensive Master's but my dream soon be remained as a dream. Mournful for our family our children in our home country. 😪

it seems that pharmacists arent anymore required, 80 points waiting from last year and no sponsorships available either, it's been a waste of time and money

Found this video randomly. While I understand and it seems totally unfair for new aspirants, the government didn’t promise any Permanent Residency for students. The law can change every time and we cannot control as it is in their administration. This is in regard to 485.

The students should notice this before and even with the GTE declaration or whatever now, you’re agree that you’ll be here temporarily.

I came through these processes before, the skilled migration should be actual skilled migration, in merit of having proper employment here or having substantial experience in their nominated occupations.

189/190 is messed up like a point competition game rather than skilled migration. Many people using these visa for doing odd jobs rather than securing proper job.

Might sound racist or gatekeeper but I’m an immigrant too, came through all the processes and I saw the unfairness for actual skilled workers and high capability students who secured proper employment (not odd job) and deserve for staying here with 189/90. Luckily, I got 186 by accidentally and all settled now.

Anyway, thanks the agent, for update and useful news, although I already passed the time there, I can forward these news to my friends, colleagues too.
