I very much appreciate the audio engineering that has gone into this version of the 5th. I've heard instrument parts in this one that I really haven't heard in other recordings. The tempo is, in my mind, absolutely correct, and this along with the audio mix means I have gained a whole new level of respect for LVB. Many thanks for making this wonderful recording available.

At 16 years old, this is the piece of music I listened to that opened my eyes to classical music. Especially the 4th movement. For the first time in my life, I heard it and I understood it. It doesn't get any better than this. Pure fun!

The first movement is either heaven or hell for those with epilepsy or OCD, and the fourth movement is just plain epic. Beethoven really milked it at the end there, didn't he? Artistically, of course.
