Great advice . . .
I'm 69 and still train 3 days per week. I commonly train Chest on Mondays using 100 lb Dumbells on the Flat Bench for 3 sets of 10-12 reps. My prior 3 incremental warm up sets have a minute or 2 between sets. Over the years I have noticed that resting about 5/6 minutes between those heavier sets gives me the best results.

Thanks for the info. Makes sense. How "critical" is to have protein (shake) soon after workout?
