As a researcher this is flawed. I wonder if it is quantitive or qualitative ? There is too much ambiguity? What was the research question? How do they know it was because the emailer was black and that’s why they wouldn’t respond?

Did they have a photo on the email or what? Does anyone actually think about the color of someone's skin when they get an email?

Why not link the study? I'd like to read it.

I never assume that I know the color or gender of the sender of my email. I don't trust the computer or the internet. I recognize the inequality in our society by the real interactions I have with people, and by the observations I have made throughout the years. Of course if I didn't genuinely care about the subject, then I wouldn't have noticed.

Tell us about the survey that the "black" senders sent. I am a little suspicious when such details are left out of a story!

The over exagerration of the victim mentality is so prevalent today because of the social currency associated with it.... Imagine being the descendent of people who experienced true discrimination and then sitting here in 2021 talking about 'micro' aggressions. ...

Of course it does. I changed my first name to an American name over my name and got so many more responses. Job applications and customers

How do they know what race the email sender is? Is it from an African prince? Racial bias also affects wasteful studies using taxpayer money.

More BS trying to put people against one another. Bottom line people treat people accordingly, stop taking things so personally!

How was the study done? It matters what time the emails were sent and what day which effects how many people respond to these emails.

What kind of people responds to these emails at all in this day and age?
And I wonder what “presumably white or black” means. Scientifically speaking I find this study suspect.
