No other generation has as severe of a maladaptive daydreaming problem as Gen Z. Every zoomer wants to be a famous rapper, streamer, or tiktoker these days. None of it is for the craft, all of it is for the money and fame.

I will say, some people have never been on the opposite side of the cash register, ever, and it painfully shows.

Excuse me? Sorry, it took me a moment to understand when you switched from speaking English, to absolute facts.

I absolutely agree 100%. Gen Z was once called “a generation for change” but I feel like they lost their voice and value in favor of social media and inspired influencers that ruins society. Dear Gen Z, WAKE UP!

I agree with everything said in this video. People have such unrealistic expectations because of social media. Anyone trying to sell you a "get rich quick" scheme is scamming you. Like you said, all those self improvement YouTubers worked normal jobs before they got big. They had to get the money somewhere, and when you're just starting out, a normal job is the only option. You can still do side hustles, but until that generates enough money, its foolish to quit a normal job.

Absolutely fucking right, everyone should try and work a normal job. Even if they're trying to become famous through art, entertaining, whatever, you should at least get a job to support yourself. I want to make games, and as much as I'd love to do that, it can be a pain in the dick to come out of uni and go straight to that job, so i started working at a company as a games tester for some relevant experience and on my days off I'm doing my passion projects to build a portfolio. I feel like so many people in our generation don't have a plan, there's a ridiculous amount who'll go "I'll just make videos, I'll just talk to people on camera" which is not only short sighted but it makes you dependent on others (parents) for your million to one shot

I agree. But I also think that people working traditional 9-5 jobs are often stuck there for their entire life, cause 1) They don't have enough time to devote to their dreams and goals 2) Their dreams or whatever they love to do do not bring much profit. There is nothing wrong with that though, if you're not overworked and underpaid, and live in a stable country with basic human rights guaranteed, I think you can live a decent life.

It's, just, like weight loss: Most give up because - "it's difficult." And, it is!

The only reason why I lost 100 lbs of pure fat is because I didn't give up, especially on those days when I didn't feel well and ate more calories than I was supposed to.

Great video! 🙌

As an older man I consider this video 100% truth. No its not easy or quick but success is attainable. Plumbing electrical welding not sexy but in demand.

Advice from first hand.If you fail in school that doesnt mean you are going to fail in life, but you after graduation, some people with bad grades and less care about education get hit real hard in the face and start working harder and learning more.

As a gen z I wanted to be a tiktoker, because you can earn money, but I change my mind I use to do art videos on tiktok. But then my views went low because I didn't stick to the trends, and I had negative comments on my art claiming that i trace my art or if I'm using ai. That's when I realized trying to be on tiktok for career is not beneficial for me. I'm signing myself up to the military that will be my career.

Not all of us hate college! Some of us still like it! I’m in college right now for a physics degree with minors in chemistry and data science. I love energy and matter, and want to get a job to help with the energy changes in this world. But I genuinely think that there are only a couple of degrees that are worth a college education. These include: finance, economics, medicine, law, STEM, and business. Other than that I recommend going to trade school. If I didn’t want to do engineering I would have gone to trade. But it is smart to get an education after high school and work to get a good job. It’s just all about what you want to do, how much you’re willing to work for it, and how determined you are!

the ones who will succeed come from the worst backgrounds, because they are used to hardship. Well said great vid

Most "normal jobs" pay complete trash so what do you expect? The problem is hustle culture convincing people that a standard 9-5 shouldn't be your only source of income.

Millennial here. Born 1987. I can say that getting a job is a stepping stone. It will build your character. Getting a job you don't like isn't a prison sentence. Think of it as a stepping stone.

I work a day job, make money as a gigging musician, have my own car and place. It didn't happen over night but my resume always gets me work.

The worst thing you can do is get too comfortable at a job
