The thing I hate about this is the true villain here is clickbait articles and sensationalized media. The reason Millenials think Gen Z is trying to cancel Eminem is because clickbait articles told them it was true, just like clickbait articles told them Gen Z thought how they dressed two decades ago is cringe, and clickbait articles (and syndicated news outlets, how the fuck did that happen) told them Gen Z was eating tide pods.

The kicker is that this same style of sensationalized writing pitting generations against each other was already highly criticized by Millenials for painting them as entitled, spoiled, selfish individuals ruining industries with their flippant consumption of avocado toast. You would think that a generation that has already experienced the short end of this stick would be less likely to continue the cycle, yet here we are.
