Review- Lexx Seasons 3 & 4

This is a review of the super-cheap Echo Bridge DVD edition of the sci-fi series Lexx Seasons 3 & 4.

*4 season sounds like classic sci*-*fi*

The problem with Lexx is that the producers arrived on earth rather than keeping strictly to space.
It’s strength is it’s cheap but quirky sci-fi flavour which was what kept it interesting.
But when they introduced earthly adventures, the cheapness of the show really made the show look extra, extra cheap, low budget.
They made the show appear really ordinary. Quite boring.
The thing is, if their script and overall story line was great, it wouldn’t matter that much, but the stories were meh, very rudimentary.
Every so often they went back to space, and I started to enjoy it again, back home on the Lexx. Then, they resorted back to boring earth.
I mean, it’s supposed to be a sci-fi show. These characters simply did not fit in with the earth concept.
It’s like the guys who dis Mr Bean.
As a short episode, no dialogue, the physical comedy was simply brilliant. But as soon as me bean went to America, onto a 1.5 hour movie, the quirky character just changed. It wasn’t funny anymore, or the comedy being witty. It just looked….out of place. Contrived.
Same goes for season 4 of Lexx.
It’s so bad that Amazon refuses to sell the 4th season as digital.
Thus why I can only view it on YouTube.

many of the episode in season 4 have been done in season 2- group of young freshers travel upto the Lexx in their shuttle, etc. some episodes are so mind numbingly boring and daft that it becvomes a grind to sit through
