I Love Lexx. It's just so weird and warped. I actually did some mashups under the name Lafftrak. With my main band (The Quagaars who's name comes from another scifi show) there's a song called "Forgotten Gravity" which has a line about the "Patches In The Sky".
I have very briefly spoken to Xenia online. She does seem like a really nice person, and from the photos she posts on Instagram, she's about 50 now but hasn't aged since the show ended. It's a shame she doesn't get more work as she one of those rare people who can both act and sing.
I have the complete series on DVD and it does have special features, but the picture quality is not that good. I first saw it when my brother taped it off cable tv and the DVD's I've got don't look that much better than those long play VHS tapes. A lot of other scifi shows from that era have been remastered despite not really needing it, I'd really like to see Lexx upscaled to HD and all that. No need to do anything with the effects as they were incredible for the time. Probably the best CGI on tv in that era.
Looking forward to seeing your full Lexx video. It's a pity the show was never released on Laserdisc, maybe series 1 was, but I've got a feeling it was only in German. I have found the Laserdisc is the perfect format for shows like Star Trek so I think Lexx on Laserdisc would be incredible.
