Today we are playing with the Benchmade narrows, and the Benchmade narrows mini. This is officially the thinnest pocket knife I own now. I was never a big fan of how the narrows felt in my hand, but the mini feels much more comfortable as I am able to put the end of the knife against the palm of my hand to open it and I have better access to the AXIS lock.

The Blade stock on this is absolutely razor sharp thin. From the factory, it came sharper than any pocket knife I have tested in several years (average 120 on BESS C) However, I think the blades thinness attributes to the peculiar feeling when swinging outward and I wish they would loosen the spring tension on the crossbar lock just a *little bit* since there is a lack of momentum on the blades parts as it’s just so* thin.

It’s a beautiful little blade but it is pricey indeed (580). It is nice that Benchmade offers the lifetime warranty along with lifetime sharpening and lubricating.

I don’t know how I feel about thin profile knives but if you’re looking to minimize space and weight, I can see this being appealing. I’m going to EDC this one for a week or so and see how I feel about it at the end! I do genuinely like how it feels in the pocket because it is very non-obtrusive.

There is something about the way the sapphire PVD coating looks with the titanium that really does it for me visually.

Great info Melissa, thank you!! I have been a big fan of Benchmade for over 3 decades... BUT the $560 price tag is ridiculous!!! 🤦‍♂️

I love Benchmade.
Some Sebenzas are available for $560.
Three Rivers Manufacturing, Monterey Bay Knives, Kizer and many other companies have comparable if not superior knives for less money.

They had to do something to make all the people that paid 180+ for a bug out feel better. For the record, I’m one of them not hating.😂 I just built a manix with rex 45, zirconium scales and all hardware and lock upgrades for 200 bucks less than that.

Benchmade pricing is out of control. Always gone back and forth between them and Spyderco but now it’s mostly Golden Co for the win.

These knife makers have delusions of grandeur 😂. 560 for a basic tool? I mean I guess it’s “worth” what people are willing to pay for it but no one should pay 560 for a pocket knife.
